  • Hi Sandra,

I have had fun playing with VFI so far! :)

A few comments about my experience: I have found that the title grabbed from the URL is almost never something you would want to use as a title IMHO--usually too long and full of keywords. So I end up having to take an extra step, deleting it every time and pasting the title in from the item page instead. Not sure what if anything could be done though, other than leaving the field blank?

Also, I wonder if the process of adding title, keywords, image etc. is going to be so time consuming that only sellers adding their own items will want to make the effort. I added others' items for the beta, but I have to admit that I wouldn't often have time to add things from other sellers since my time is stretched pretty thin as it is. For example, I occasionally add things to Stylehive, but only things that I am selling . . .

I was not sure who the intended "market" was for adding new stuff--anyone could browse and have fun with the site, but will shoppers add their finds too? I know it works for places like Stylehive and Stylefeeder, but their process is a little more idiot-friendly . . .

Not trying to be a drag, but I wanted to share my thoughts, for what they are worth! I think the site looks great and I am happy to be a part of checking it out at this early stage!

    Thanks!
    Amy

  • Thanks for the feedback Amy. This is all very valid and I appreciate it. The site is intended for anyone who has the desire to share and find vintage items - sellers, shoppers, etc.

I hear what you are saying about making it easier to upload items. Thanks!
